“How are you feeling?”
Right now, this question might have more angst behind it than it has in the past – perhaps more than it did even just one week ago.
I truly ask,
“How are you feeling? How are you doing?”
I am
Shawna Moss, LCSW-S, Clinical Director at the Samaritan Center in Austin, Texas. Our mission is to HEAL hearts and provide HOPE. We do this by serving our vision, which is to provide this healing by focusing on the well-being of the whole person – mental, physical, spiritual, and social.
We heal and provide hope by supporting others as they acknowledge their thoughts and feelings, name them, give space for them, and challenge them with a trusted, well-trained, empathic, and compassionate therapist.
We heal and provide hope by connecting people to their bodies through breath and movement. We provide knowledge and tools to keep people healthy and their immune systems strong with herbal medicine and nutrition counseling and supplementation.
We heal and provide hope by connecting people to their spirituality. Humans are
spiritual beings and we draw strength, connection, and meaning through our spirituality.
We heal and provide hope by connecting to people and supporting them as they navigate how to better connect to others. Humans are also
social beings. In this time of isolation, there are still ways to connect to others.
I want to help you… WE want to help you. In this difficult time, the Samaritan Center and our incredible therapists and integrative medicine providers are here for you.
We are fully operational by providing telehealth and teletherapy services. Telehealth and teletherapy involve video therapy and integrative medicine consults through a video component on a computer, tablet, or cell phone.
This is an amazing offering during these times and we are incredibly blessed and thankful to be able to continue our work of healing and providing hope for whoever needs it. We are committed to maintaining a strong focus on our military community as well.
Please visit our website or give us a call so we can ask you, “How are you feeling?” and then support you in your healing – mind, body, spirit, and community.
Thank you and be well,
Shawna
