Mobile Apps That Can Help Our Daily Routine

mobile appsThese days you can do anything from a phone app. One of the most interesting ones I found are exercise and wellness ones. So why not do something better for your health? For us veterans, several applications have been created that can help our physical and mental health. They help us control our anxiety, recommend breathing techniques, exercises, among others. Below are several applications that can help us on a day-to-day basis.

1. Breathe2Relax

Breathe2Relax is a portable stress management tool which provides detailed information on the effects of stress on the body and instructions and practice exercises to help users learn the stress management skill called diaphragmatic breathing.

2. Calm

Calm is the perfect mindfulness app for beginners, but also includes hundreds of programs for intermediate and advanced users. Guided meditation sessions are available in lengths of 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 minutes so you can choose the perfect length to fit with your schedule.

3. T2 Mood Tracker

Mood Tracker allows users to monitor their moods on six pre-loaded scales (anxiety, stress, depression, brain injury, post-traumatic stress, general well-being).

4. MOVE! Coach

MOVE! Coach Mobile is a weight loss app for Veterans, service members, their families, and others who want to lose weight. This 16-week program guides users to successful weight loss or weight management through education, and use of tools, in an easy and convenient way.

5. CBT-I Coach

CBT-I Coach is for people who are engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia with a health provider, or who have experienced symptoms of insomnia and would like to improve their sleep habits. These applications can be found in either of the two platforms of iOS or Android.
