Jackie Milliken is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) who received her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in 2015, and her BA in Psychology from the University of Akron in 2011. Her first encounter with holistic medicine was when she received relief from a sports injury with acupressure, and benefited from nutritional supplements for health issues in 2006. Her passion for Eastern practices grew when her hometown started to suffer from the opioid epidemic. It was then that she knew she needed to pursue a career in integrative medicine.

Jackie has worked as an acupuncturist in Australia where she treated individuals from many different cultures for a variety of acute and chronic orthopedic, neurological, autoimmune, and vestibular conditions. She eventually returned to the United States where she continues to expand her skill set. While Jackie has extensive training in traditional Chinese medicine, pulse diagnosis, sports injury acupuncture, and herbal medicine, she also has obtained specialty certifications in the areas of:

  • Cupping therapy
  • Distal needling
  • Mei Zen facial and neck cosmetic acupuncture

Currently, her clinical specialties include:

  • Sports medicine
  • Pain management
  • Orthopedic health
  • Neurological health
  • Mental health
  • Alternative cosmetic treatments

Jackie strongly supports the goal of providing a client-centered solution to health issues, and not simply treating symptoms. Jackie also comes from a military family. Her dad is a retired Air Force LT. Colonel, and he currently leads the ROTC program in Cleveland City Schools. Her brother was an Airborne Ranger in the Army. Jackie is an advocate for veterans and is passionate about providing a holistic approach to treating PTSD and pain.

When not in the clinic, Jackie enjoys exercising, weight lifting, scuba diving, crafting, traveling with her husband, and spoiling her two dogs, Professor Chaos and Zoey.
